1 day in Colorado Springs & Manitou Springs Itinerary

Stunning Garden of the Gods Park scenery, blue skies and the glory of Pikes Peak-America’s Mountain have attracted visitors to Colorado Springs for more than a century.

Start off your visit on the 3rd (Sun): stroll around Garden of the Gods, brush up on your military savvy at National Museum of World War II Aviation, and then walk around Red Rock Canyon Open Space.

Denver to Colorado Springs is an approximately 1.5-hour car ride. You can also take a bus; or do a combination of train and flight. In January, plan for daily highs up to 46°F, and evening lows to 18°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 3rd (Sun) early enough to drive to Manitou Springs.

Manitou Springs' main street was once a trail that led directly to the base of Pike's Peak.
