Part of Colorado's Royal Gorge Region, Cañon City straddles the Arkansas River.
Kick off your visit on the 22nd (Wed): see the interesting displays at Royal Gorge Regional Museum and History Center, thensee the interesting displays at Museum of Colorado Prisons, thenrelax and float downstream with a rafting and tubing tour, and finally stop by The Gold Mine Rock Shop. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: trek along Tunnel Drive, make a trip to The Abbey Events Complex, thencruise along Skyline Drive, and finally do a tasting at The Winery at Holy Cross Abbey.
