3 days in Pikes Peak Region Itinerary

Part of Colorado's Royal Gorge Region, Cañon City straddles the Arkansas River.

Fresno to Cañon City is an approximately 6.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of bus and taxi. The time zone difference moving from Pacific Standard Time to Mountain Standard Time is 1 hour. Traveling from Fresno in July, things will get a bit cooler in Cañon City: highs are around 90°F and lows about 63°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 21st (Fri) so you can drive to Manitou Springs.

Kick off your visit on the 21st (Fri): get in on the family fun at Cave of the Winds Mountain Park and then trek along Barr Trail to Pikes Peak. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 22nd (Sat): find something for the whole family at North Pole Colorado Santa’s Workshop, then cruise along Pikes Peak - America's Mountain, then contemplate the waterfront views at Manitou Springs Incline, and finally view the masterpieces at Commonwheel Artists Co-op.

Drive from Cañon City to Manitou Springs in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. Prepare for a bit cooler weather when traveling from Cañon City in July: high temperatures in Manitou Springs hover around 82°F and lows are around 54°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 22nd (Sat) early enough to fly back home.
