Stunning Garden of the Gods Park scenery, blue skies and the glory of Pikes Peak-America’s Mountain have attracted visitors to Colorado Springs for more than a century.Step out of the city life by going to Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center and Fountain Creek Regional Park. Deepen your sense of the past at sights like Old Colorado City Historic District and Manitou Cliff Dwellings. Grand Rapids to Colorado Springs is an approximately 6.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of train and bus. The time zone changes from Eastern Standard Time (EST) to Mountain Standard Time (MST), which is usually a -2 hour difference. In September, plan for daily highs up to 79°F, and evening lows to 51°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 17th (Sun) to allow enough time to fly back home.
