Colorado Springs — 5 nights

Stunning Garden of the Gods Park scenery, blue skies and the glory of Pikes Peak-America’s Mountain have attracted visitors to Colorado Springs for more than a century.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Museum and Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site. Escape the urban bustle at Palmer Park and Memorial Park. Step out of Colorado Springs to go to Cañon City and see Skyline Drive, which is approximately 1h 5 min away. Next up on the itinerary: see the interesting displays at Penrose Heritage Museum, head outdoors with Outdoor Activities, tour the pleasant surroundings at Seven Bridges Trail, and learn about all things military at Peterson Air & Space Museum.

To see maps, more things to do, other places to visit, and more tourist information, you can read our Colorado Springs tour planner.

New York City to Colorado Springs is an approximately 6-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of train and bus. The time zone changes from Eastern Standard Time to Mountain Standard Time, which is usually a -2 hour difference. Traveling from New York City in June, you can expect nighttime temperatures to be a bit cooler in Colorado Springs, with lows of 54°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 24th (Fri) to allow enough time to fly back home.
