Kick off your visit on the 15th (Thu): steep yourself in history at Old Homestead House Museum and then take an in-depth tour of Cripple Creek District Museum. On the 16th (Fri), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: examine the collection at Outlaw and Lawmen Jail Museum, cruise along Phantom Canyon Road, and then immerse yourself in nature at Mueller State Park.
