Stunning Garden of the Gods Park scenery, blue skies and the glory of Pikes Peak-America’s Mountain have attracted visitors to Colorado Springs for more than a century.
Get in touch with nature at River Rafting & Tubing and Rocky Mountain Wildlife Foundation. Old Colorado City and Bishop Castle will appeal to history buffs. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Colorado Springs: Cherry Creek State Park (in Aurora), Hidden Mesa Open Space & Trail (in Castle Rock) and Colorado Wolf and Wildlife Center (in Divide). There's still lots to do: walk around Garden of the Gods, learn about wildlife with up-close encounters at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, identify plant and animal life at North Cheyenne Canon Park, and examine the collection at Miramont Castle Museum.

To find traveler tips, ratings, and more tourist information, go to the Colorado Springs trip planner.

In July, daily temperatures in Colorado Springs can reach 86°F, while at night they dip to 58°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 31st (Wed) early enough to travel back home.
