Royal Gorge Bridge and Park boasts the highest bridge in the United States, spanning the gorge at 291 m (955 ft) above the Arkansas River. You'll appreciate the view by crossing the bridge on foot to peer down into the canyon below. In the park, you'll find a sky coaster that carries you over the gorge at high speeds. A gondola ride down the river adds a little romance to the great outdoors, while ziplines and mini trains allow you to give your feet a rest. Start at the visitor center to purchase tickets and pick up a map of the area. I want to start off by saying this place is absolutely beautiful and a must see. The bridge itself is a wonder and man you are high! The staff was very friendly, especially the security. The... more »

I struggled with how to write this review & how many stars. The road to get there was pretty crappy & we were pulling an RV trailer. We pulled off to the RV access road & it wasn't much better. We... more »

Stunning location of Colorado. Gorgeous overlook and bridge with all 50 State flags where you show your native pride. You can easily make a day of the Park and town. Be prepared to support the national parks though. Tickets are pricey but very well worth it. Make it a weekend and find a hike, rafting, ride the Royal Gorge railway, or, for you big spenders, you can get a helicopter tour over the gorge. Burger joint up the road had killer wings and green chili burger. Loved it even though it started raining as we parked. Classic Colorado experience.

Great place as always. The bridge is great to walk across and see the great views. The gondola ride is nice to see the gorge from a different view with the one side being totally glass. The zipline is great but unfortunately today winds were too high so they closed them down but do give you a refund if this happens. The swing over the gorge is the greatest if you like that kind of thing. It was a first time for me and my daughter and we had such an amazing ride. Glad we got on before the wind kicked way up. Will definitely be back again and again.
