  • In a word: Incredible. What an amazing experience! Royal Gorge Bridge is a foot bridge spanning a nearly 1000 foot deep canyon, and it is just gorgeous. Worth the price of admission. If you haven't been, you should see this at least once in your life. Recommend to: geologists, adrenaline junkies seeking a thrill (do the zip lining if you fall into this category), and those who love the outdoors. Go early: the parking lot can get crazy later in the day, and the canyon is most interesting to view when the sun is not directly overhead.
  • The Royal Gorge has several unforgettable experiences to offer, including a zip line and gondola ride across the canyon. I love the bridge which has the flags of all 50 States with their names, posted on both sides of the bridge. It has a lot of scenic beauty and I wish it were closer to Denver. It took me 2 hours and 30 minutes to get there which really isn't too bad. During Christmas, they even have Santa's train that starts at Canon City and passes under the Royal Gorge to get to "north pole" where Santa gets on the train amidst a lot of dancing elves. We were given cookies and milk. It's a lot of fun for adults and children.
