The tasting room at The Winery at Holy Cross Abbey is in an Arts and Craftsmen cottage that was built by P. H. Troutman of Denver, Colorado, in 1911. The sweeping arches and post and beam structure are fabulous examples of this architecture. The winery produces 14 wines, 10 of which are complimentary to taste. Linens from Provence, pottery from Spain, Tunisia, Portugal and France, and a vast array of food, wine and travel books are just a sampling of the beautiful items sold in the tasting room.See The Winery at Holy Cross Abbey and all Cañon City has to offer by arranging your trip with our Cañon City trip site.

The Winery at Holy Cross Abbey reviews
Outdoor tasting and pet friendly. Great place for a glass of wine if you don't want a tasting. The tasting is a great price. more »
I would absolutely NEVER recommend this winery. From the moment we arrived and were seated by Cynthia it was unpleasant. It was sprinkling outside and instead of seating us under an umbrella we were..... more »
I was very excited to check out a local winery after sight seeing near by! I love picking up a few bottles for my friends, family, and myself when I find something good! However I was very let down with customer service. I was standing there about 10 minutes with no greeting. Walked up to the counter thinking I may be in the wrong spot and asked where to wait for some tastings. The lady at the front counter confirmed I was in the right spot and so I went back to where I was waiting. Another lady politely handed me a list of wines and descriptions while I waited another 10-15 minutes when 2 younger ladies walked in and stood near by. The lady at the front counter then called over those two ladies instead of me after waiting much longer than those two. I felt this was extremely rude and will not return. I understand being busy but I was the only one waiting for a tasting for awhile. I should have been noticed.
Beautiful place. And wonderful wine. Gift shop has unique items reasonably priced. Enjoyed my time tasting many varieties of wine. Left with several bottles to enjoy later. Highly recommend.
