Mount up and let Academy Riding Stables show you the big red rock formations of the 566 ha (1,400 acre) Garden of the Gods park. A real cowboy will guide you past formations, such as Sleeping Giant, Kissing Camels, and Siamese Twins, giving you the view of the landscape that pioneers had more than a century ago. Tours vary in length and are open to children and adults of all riding levels. The operation also provides helmets if you'd like, although they are optional. Our Colorado Springs online vacation planner makes visiting Academy Riding Stables and other Colorado Springs attractions simple, and helps you make a travel plan personal to you.

The best horse riding experience ever! My boyfriend and I chose to do this very last minute and it was worth every penny. The most beautiful views of Garden of the Gods. Staff is so friendly and welcoming. Sam and Angel were awesome. They were so helpful and very friendly. Angel was our guide and he was great!! He made our riding experience one to remember. We will definitely be coming back and would love for him to be our guide again! I would recommend this place to everyone and I will definitely be back to ride again soon! :) Book your ride now, you won’t regret it whatsoever!

My daughter and I decided to take a tour of The Garden of the Gods on horseback and Academy Riding was perfect! Our guide Jesse was knowledgeable and funny. The horses were hand picked according to our skill level, height and weight! We did the 2 hour tour and HIGHLY RECOMMEND it! One hour wouldn't have been enough time in my opinion. The horses are well trained and well cared for which is something that is very important to me. If you are in Colorado City you should take a ride!
