The 552 hectare (1,364 acre) public park is famous for the dozens of freestanding red rock formations created by a geological upheaval millions of years ago. Hike through the lush green forests while admiring the towering 91 m (300 ft) formations set against the dramatic backdrop of snowcapped Pike’s Peak. FRESH AIR, UNBELIEVABLE VIEWS, FRIENDLY PEOPLE! The entire area is absolutely stunning. You find yourself sitting down and enjoying the view. While I was there I got to see a couple slowly rock climb up the face of one of the larger rock formations. There are plenty of walking paths, bike trails, and areas to sit. PARKING: I found it best to park further away from the trails and closer to the visitor center in one of the first wide open dirt lot areas. The walk is all a part of the experience. I, unluckily, couldn't get one of the few parking spaces in the even fewer parking lots that are located closer to where all the action is. Overall, an amazing view and great outdoor activity.

Great place to visit and hike, they have a visitor center where you can get a free map. There’s a gift shop and bathrooms there as well. Also there is a area you can over look the rocks. Several parking lots in the park some smaller then others. Some hiking paths are paved others are dirt. Dog friendly place. This park is free to enter. Great place and highly recommend you visit if you are in the area.
