Admire one of the country’s most impressive archaeological wonders at Garden of the Gods. The 552 hectare (1,364 acre) public park is famous for the dozens of freestanding red rock formations created by a geological upheaval millions of years ago. Hike through the lush green forests while admiring the towering 91 m (300 ft) formations set against the dramatic backdrop of snowcapped Pike’s Peak. Head to the park’s visitor and nature center to learn the history of the formations or to grab a cup of coffee and enjoy panoramic views of the park from the cafe terrace. Great Hike - so happy to visit. The paths were maintained well and the views were gorgeous. Only suggestion, the maps should match the trail paths.

FRESH AIR, UNBELIEVABLE VIEWS, FRIENDLY PEOPLE! The entire area is absolutely stunning. You find yourself sitting down and enjoying the view. While I was there I got to see a couple slowly rock climb up the face of one of the larger rock formations. There are plenty of walking paths, bike trails, and areas to sit. PARKING: I found it best to park further away from the trails and closer to the visitor center in one of the first wide open dirt lot areas. The walk is all a part of the experience. I, unluckily, couldn't get one of the few parking spaces in the even fewer parking lots that are located closer to where all the action is. Overall, an amazing view and great outdoor activity.

If you're looking for an awe-inspiring natural wonder to explore, look no further than the Garden of the Gods. Nestled in the heart of Colorado Springs, this iconic park features towering red rock formations, picturesque trails, and breathtaking views that are sure to leave a lasting impression. The park is about 1.5h away from Denver. There's free parking, a free visitor and nature center, and dogs are allowed too. From the moment you arrive, you'll be struck by the park's natural beauty and tranquility. The towering rock formations, including the famous Balanced Rock and Kissing Camels, are truly a sight to behold. Whether you're a seasoned hiker or a casual stroller, the park's many trails offer something for everyone, from easy paved paths to more challenging hikes with steep inclines. But what really sets the Garden of the Gods apart is its accessibility. Unlike many other natural wonders, the park is completely free to visit and open to the public year-round. Whether you're a local looking for a quick escape or a tourist exploring Colorado, the Garden of the Gods is a must-see destination. Overall, I highly recommend a visit to the Garden of the Gods.
