The Sweet Elephant at Vino Colorado Winery is a locally owned business that started in the heart of Old Colorado City. However, people loved our wines so much, we expanded and now have another location by the Citadel Mall, on the corner of Chelton and Platte. Come see us!

We offer complimentary Colorado wine tasting 11 am to close every day. All of our wines are sold by the glass or bottle purchase. Our store also has a full service coffee and food menu. Paint classes are offered nightly by appointment as well. We can accommodate up to 50 people for paint class events. Both our locations are perfect for bachelorette, bridal shower or birthday paint parties! Call: 719-661-2910 or stop in today!

Join our wine club to get updates on our new wines as well as invitations to our upcoming special events.

  • Hey they have free tastings here! Wine was really good. Tried the merlot, cabernet, and several others. All were good, but the Merlot was my favorite. Will definitely stop by in the future if I am in....  more »

  • The wine tasting was very nice and tasty. They say there’s 5 tastes, but it ended up being 7 mostly red wine. Happy hour from 4 to 6.We then had 2 glasses of our favorite wine and left with a $10 bill. Grace got a big tip on top of that. Thank you.
  • My fiancé and I are from Omaha and we’re venturing the streets of Old Colorado City. This family owned business caught my eye because of the elephants (they are my favorite animal) so we HAD to go in. It was such a pleasant visit! The coffee was amazing and the wine was fantastic! The gentleman that helped us out went out of his way and talked to us about the wines and was super friendly. We will definitely be ordering more wine from this place. ❤️
