The Cog Railway is back on track and open for business. Closed for a three-year rebuild, this iconic attraction features a new depot, new track and new/refurbished trains. The unforgettable ride starts in the charming mountain town of Manitou Springs. The depot has two gift shops, a new restroom facility, elevator and charming platform to wait on as you eagerly anticipate boarding your designated train. Along your 9-mile journey to the 14,115' summit of Pikes Peak, a National Historic Landmark, you'll enjoy beautiful scenery that is home to a range of wildlife, from fox, coyotes and elk among the pine trees of Pike National Forest to bighorn sheep and whistling yellow-bellied marmots above timberline. At the summit of America's Mountain, you'll enjoy sweeping 360-degree views of Colorado Springs, Woodland Park, Cripple Creek and Victor. These are the vistas that inspired the words to America the Beautiful and have drawn generations of explorers and travelers. Awaiting you at the summit is the new Pikes Peak Summit Visitor Center, with educational interpretive exhibits, an excellent array of food choices (don't miss out on the high-altitude donuts!) and an elevated walkway leading you to the jaw-dropping views from the Northern Overlook. • We had a fabulous experience aboard the Manitou & Pike’s Peak Cog Railway. I did my research and knew to pick the three seat side and the front to for the best views both up and down the mountain. We had no trouble with parking and the station was easy to find. The trains are shiny on the outside and clean on the inside. And, our conductors provided us with clear and enjoyable narration throughout our journey. Leave the driving to the train operators and enjoy the ride. You may even be lucky enough to spot some wildlife along the way!

More importantly, the staff was amazing. I locked the keys of our rental car, in the car, in the parking lot. We told the parking attendant were running late and decided we would call someone when we came back down. While we were gone, the staff called Unlock the Springs Locksmith and had someone there by the time we got back. Everyone was
